WinWin Foundation was built on a simple conviction — that strategic, valued partnerships unlock far greater impact than any organisation can achieve alone. Meet the team driving that vision forward.
Four directors united by a shared commitment to inclusive development, strategic partnerships, and lasting community impact across South Africa.
Cora Burnett is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Johannesburg and Director of the UJ Olympic Studies Centre. She holds a doctorate in Human Movement Studies and a second doctorate in Social Anthropology.
Her research and publication record spans more than 200 peer-reviewed publications, with extensive research conducted across Africa at international, national, and local levels. She has conducted impact assessments for international agencies including UNICEF, the Australian Sports Commission, and German Development Cooperation (in partnership with the European Union), as well as corporates such as Vodacom CSI, Sappi, and Coca-Cola Africa.
Several international awards, leadership positions, and keynote addresses attest to her unique expertise. Her focus areas include employability research linked to volunteerism, the civil society sector, and youth empowerment.
Recent projects include consultations with the International Olympic Committee, the African Union (including Region 5), and the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture to develop the Women in Sport policy framework.
Lizette is a qualified attorney with 18 years of B-BBEE experience. She obtained her BA (LLB) at Stellenbosch University in 1988 and her B-BBEE Management (MDP) at UNISA in 2013.
She ran her own law firm, Frank Seton Attorneys, from 1995 to 2005, specialising in Labour Law, and co-founded 1 NET BEE Empowered (Pty) Ltd — one of the first SANAS Accredited Verification Agencies — from 2005 to 2018. She brings 13 years of experience as a SANAS Approved Technical Assessor.
Since 2018, Lizette has been providing B-BBEE consulting services and currently serves as a trustee on two B-BBEE Trusts.
Ilhaam's dream is to make a difference in the South African sporting environment in terms of leadership. Not only is she the first female Chief Director of Maties Sport, she is also the first female Executive Council member of SA Rugby, the first female chairperson of University Sports South Africa, and the first female Vice-President of University Sport South Africa.
She has won many accolades for her incredible contribution to sport leadership and developing South African women in sport.
Hema is a passionate advocate for inclusive, people-centered development. Her work is driven by one core belief: when we invest in people, we build stronger communities and more capable organisations.
At WinWin Foundation, she specialises in partnering with organisations that need individuals to be trained, upskilled, and empowered — whether for employment, volunteer programs, or community impact projects. Together, the team builds tailored, practical training initiatives that deliver real, lasting results.
With a background in business process improvement, coaching, human resource transformation, and industrial and organisational psychology, Hema brings a systems-thinking lens to the team. Over the years, she has worked across diverse sectors including healthcare, legal, mobile, business process outsourcing, and auditing — giving her deep insight into organisational realities and sector-specific needs.
WinWin doesn't believe in one-size-fits-all. Whether you're looking to strengthen your team, run a community initiative, or support youth development, the Foundation is here to co-create solutions that make sense for your context.
